This robust control cable has been specially designed for a submersible pump of a pumping station. The water authority’s requirements were watertightness and torsion resistance with a maximum outer diameter of 20mm and EMI protection as an added bonus.
By using swelling fillers and swelling tape, the cable is sealed in the longitudinal direction up to 20 bar. This protects the elements from water damage in case the outer sheath is damaged. By utilizing a double outer sheath reinforced with a Kevlar special water-resistant PUR, the cable forms a robust unit with a maximum tensile strength of 3000N. Making it a cable that can handle the most extreme conditions.
